ABOUT NURGUL

I know what it means to begin again.

Born and raised in the Kyrgyz Soviet Republic, I immigrated to Canada in 2005 and experienced firsthand what it means to rebuild a career, identity and sense of belonging in a new country. Later life disruptions challenged me to redefine who I was once again.

Today, I am a speaker, cultural storyteller, educator and Subconscious Mind Specialist. My work brings together lived experience, cultural storytelling and an understanding of the subconscious patterns that shape our choices and identities.

I have presented at the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s Transforming Health Symposium, developed and taught courses on Kyrgyzstan and the final years of the Soviet Union, and supported people internationally through significant personal transitions.

Across everything I do, one question remains central: What shaped you—and who will you choose to become next?
